Who to refer

Families seeking integrative medicine and holistic approaches to address a child or teen's mental health or neurodevelopmental concerns. I provide standard evidence-based care to my clients when indicated and chosen -alongside or after integrative approaches. Due to the time involved I limit other referral acceptance.

Declined referrals

  • Referrals for a diagnosis or the standard management of Autism or ADHD

    • A thorough evaluation and planning toward disability supports if applicable should be completed by other professionals if this is the main priority.

    • However, I may contribute an opinion from reports and interviews over time for diagnosis.

    • I can also provide my approach before diagnosis, if a formal diagnostic process is not the focus for my care. I am happy to work alongside other practitioners addressing these needs.

  • Referrals for the assessment or standard management for mental health concerns without an preference for an integrative focus.

    • I always explore for underlying causes and prioritise this. In all patients I am happy to adjust or maintain psychotropic medication alongside integrative approaches. I do sometimes commence medication.

  • Situations of medical instability, social and mental health risk including most with moderate to severe eating disorder or more acute concerns.

  • I cannot replace a Paediatrician or Paediatric specialist for the diagnosis and management of childhood genetic, medical or surgical conditions.
