TREATMENT AND SUPPORT

> Incorporating Functional, Nutritional and Environmental Medicine

  • Root causes sought through interview and testing.

  • Family preference and circumstances taken into account.

  • Testing options include bloods, methylation markers, genes for neurotransmitter, brain and related system health, organic acids testing, microbiome, hair tissue mineral analysis or oligoscan.

    • All have relative indications, strengths and weaknesses with no single test comprehensive.

  • Resources shared to support knowledge, including researched evidence, risks and benefits for integrative approaches and standard approaches.

  • Recommendations relate to:

    • Human biochemistry, gene, immune and gut interactions. When working well these sustain neurological health and functioning.

    • Reducing toxins and infections which impact cellular health.

    • Healthy child nutrition and environmental health.

    • Individual susceptibility and needs - differences and their evaluation.

    • Supporting choices that include herbal, homeopathic, diet, supplements, medications, and body-based approaches such as kinesiology, craniosacral and neurotherapy.

> Considered psychosocial, somatic and mindfulness-oriented therapies

  • Family system enquiry to reflect feelings, needs and values - for positive change. Considering the wider environment, eg school.

  • Understanding how trauma and/or attachment experiences (our early relationships) create interpersonal patterns, difficulties and also strengths. New ways to respond.

  • Therapeutic input - drawing on psychodynamic, narrative, CBT, ACT, MBT, Vedic, play, creative, somatic, mindful and Jungian analytic learnings

  • Working with trauma, stress in the nervous system, and the developing self

    • Attachment, mindful and polyvagal system-oriented parenting

    • Mindful and somatic psychotherapies such as breath and movement.

    • Creative expression and exploration, nature-based and compassionate meditative approaches, growing a healthy narrative.

  • In clinical appointments small conversations and experiences are offered, time permitting, with recommendations for other supports.
